1st Grade Overview

Welcome to Mrs. Drew’s classroom, where we not only grow our minds, but we also grow in God’s love. First grade is an important time of growth and discovery. Children are learning many new skills, both academically and socially. 

First graders, throughout the year, make amazing strides in their reading, writing and mathematics skills. I also set up a hands-on learning environment that encourages meaningful and deeper exploration in all subjects. Of course, at the heart of our curriculum is our Catholic faith. I love creating an atmosphere where the kids know they are each uniquely created by God. It is a joy watching them discover who they are as an individual.
